WISE Ones Out & About: California Symphony
Thursday, January 30, 3:10-5:00 p.m., Lesher Center for the Arts, Walnut Creek

Join us as we go behind the scenes at the California Symphony. We’ll watch and listen as Artistic and Music Director Donato Cabrera leads the orchestra in a rehearsal of Carlos Simon’s
evocative “Breathe” and Mozart’s majestic Symphony No. 41 (Jupiter). After the rehearsal, we’ll get to chat with the conductor in the auditorium, gaining insight into the music and the process that brings it to the stage. To top it off, General Manager Sunshine Deffner will guide us on a brief backstage tour. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with the people behind the artistry at the California Symphony.

Note: Meet at the Lesher Center stage door. Attendees must be able to manage six stair steps to get from backstage to the hall, which is the only route to seats that will be open during
rehearsal. The backstage tour will involve more stairs and is optional.
