LAFTY
Led by teens, for teens, LAFTY is Temple Isaiah’s high school youth group. With guidance from Jacob Friedman, our Youth Director, each event is planned and led from start to finish by a board comprised of LAFTY members. LAFTY events are devoted to creating a Jewish community amongst our teens. We strive to provide positive Jewish experiences to propel our teens into a Jewish future that they’re excited to be a part of. LAFTY events range from beachside camping trips to social action events and everything in between. Highlights of the year include our annual Winter Vacation trip, Spring Adventure trip and the Purim Carnival, LAFTY’s biggest fundraiser.

NFTY: North American Federation of Temple Youth
NFTY is the national youth group for the Reform movement. LAFTY is one of over 750 Temple Youth Groups in North America, and we are affiliated with NFTY’s Central West Region (NFTY-CWR). Several times throughout the year Jewish teens from Northern and Central California, Nevada, Utah, and Hawaii come together for weekend retreats. These weekends are filled with fun, group bonding, creative Jewish programming, prayer and community service. LAFTY members will automatically receive information about these events in their LAFTY mailings. For more information about NFTY visit http://www.nfty.org/cwr.
